DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Arts Festival was nominated as a top art festival in the nation on Monday, making USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice 2025 list, it announced in a Facebook post.
“Exciting news! DMAF has been selected as one of the top arts festivals in the country by USA Today. Help us reach the #1 spot with your vote today, ” the festival said in part.

The state’s largest arts and culture event, the Des Moines Arts Festival hosts nearly 200 of the nation’s top artists, showing their work in a downtown location amid the John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park and the Krause Gateway Center. The festival has won several Grand Pinnacle Awards from the International Festivals and Events Association.
