We have some good friends in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada. Keith and Mary Pat Kuneman are wonderful folks who we met years ago when we used to winter in Destin, Fla.
Keith is a very accomplished violin virtuoso. He used to jam with the Surfside Jammers in our condo association and did they ever make sweet bluegrass music. The easy and relaxed way Keith could jam in with the numerous musical instruments was just fantastic.
Since we are huge fans of old time music and especially bluegrass music, it just evolved that we would become great friends with so many of these amazing masters of music. At times there must have a dozen or more, each with a different musical instrument and all playing the same song in coordination with each other. That feat was just masterful.
Anyway, we were talking to them about how the pandemic was going up there with our neighbors to the north and they quickly responded that the entire country is still on lockdown and they are still waiting to receive their vaccinations. That was quite revealing since we appear to be on the verge of really slowing down the affliction of COVID-19 here in the good ol’ USA.
As to why our good neighbors to the north have been unable to all get vaccinated, Keith told us that Canada has no firms able to produce vaccines and must wait for some other country’s firms to produce enough for their entire country.
