After multiple delays, Black Widow tickets are now officially on sale. Cate Shortland and Scarlett Johansson’s Marvel Studios film was supposed to kick off MCU Phase 4 in May 2020. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film had to be pushed back several times until it landed on a hybrid release format in theaters and on Disney+ this July, and it appears as if it’s finally making its current rollout schedule.
Following her controversial death in Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios will properly close Nat’s personal story through her long-delayed solo film. Set in the two years between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the upcoming blockbuster will delve deep into the character’s past in Russia before she became a SHIELD agent and eventually, an Avenger. With that, Black Widow will introduce a string of new characters into the MCU who factored in Nat’s old life including her first family composed of Harbour’s Alexei Shoskatov/Red Guardian, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, and Rachel Weisz’s Melina. Specifics for their mission are still murky, but they will find themselves up against the mysterious Taskmaster.
