Anderson Cooper is officially a father of two!
The CNN anchor took some time during his show “Anderson Cooper 360” on Thursday to announce on air that he has welcomed another son, Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper.
Cooper, who revealed the birth of his first child Wyatt in April 2020, said he will co-parent Sebastian with his “best friend and former partner,” night club owner Benjamin Maisani, 49. Cooper said Maisani is also in the process of adopting Wyatt, whose last name will also be changed to Maisani-Cooper.
Like his older brother, Sebastian was born via surrogacy, Cooper said, and he “is healthy and happy,” weighing 6.8 pounds at birth.
“Even his occasional hiccups are, to me, adorable,” the anchor added, before footage played of the newborn letting out a hiccup. “He mostly just sleeps and eats, and he certainly poops, but he already seems like a wise and thoughtful little chap.”

Cooper added that he’ll be taking the rest of this week and next week off to be with his kids, before returning to his show.
The anchor also gave an update about his 22-month-old, Wyatt Emory Cooper.
“He is sweet, funny, and the greatest joy of my life,” Cooper said at the top of his announcement. “If he looks particularly happy in this picture, it’s because he now has a baby brother.”
