JACKSONVILLE – The popular options remain popular at No. 25.
We’ll focus there again this week when discussing how analysts feel about the Jaguars in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Because how they feel about the No. 1 selection remains very obvious and repetitive:
Trevor Lawrence, Trevor Lawrence, Trevor Lawrence.
Lawrence, a quarterback from Clemson University generally considered the draft’s best prospect, again was a unanimous projection to the Jaguars at No. 1 overall in this week’s jaguars.com mock draft tracker. All 10 analysts in this week’s tracker projected him there.
*Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: “The talk that he isn’t the best quarterback in this class is laughable. He’s a clear No. 1. The Jaguars should have him signed before the draft.”
*AJ Schulte, Pro Football Network: “The Jaguars are drafting Trevor Lawrence. End of discussion. All of their moves from this point forward are intending to build around him.”
*Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports: “The draft starts at pick No. 2. The Urban Meyer era begins with Lawrence at No. 1 overall.”
*Seth Galina, Pro Football Focus: “I’m not here to entertain the idea that the Jaguars have someone rated higher than Lawrence on their boards — especially not [Brigham Young quarterback] Zach Wilson.”
*Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports: “The Jags are taking Trevor Lawrence. The end.”
