Former President Donald Trump and a host of Republicans addressed a crowd of thousands in Banks County at a rally on Trump’s “Save America” tour.
The rally officially began at 4 p.m. Saturday, though many supporters had been in line since the early morning. Trump took the stage at 8:15 p.m.— more than an hour after the scheduled time.
Among the speakers at the event were the following:
- David Perdue, who is running against Gov. Brian Kemp in the governor’s race primary
- State Sen. Burt Jones
- Herschel Walker, former Georgia Bulldogs star and current Senate hopeful
- Rep. Jody Hice, who is running for Georgia secretary of state
- Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene
- Rep. Andrew Clyde
- Vernon Jones, who is running for Georgia’s 10th congressional district seat
