Wadley Donovan Gutshaw Consulting, LLC has been appointed to handle a workforce study and comprehensive plan in an effort to combat labor supply challenges in the region.
The Savannah Joint Development Authority, along with existing industries, selected the company in hopes of assisting employers in the region, as well as preparing for the more than 8,000 workers needed to operate the Hyundai plant.
The scope of the study will include a market analysis to include identifying the strength of the labor market, as well as looking into requirements needed to handle the labor demands from the high school level up to 4-year colleges.

The Savannah JDA is also dedicated to hiring a workforce director who will play a pivotal role in implementing the workforce study and strategic plan. The study will start January 2023.
“In speaking with many of the existing industries in the region, we know that the growth of the workforce pipeline is a priority,” said Carter Infinger, chairman of the Board of Commissioners for Bryan County. “We hope this study and plan gives us a pathway to assist them.”
