- The Vikings have won six straight home games against the 49ers, last losing at the Metrodome in 1992.
- Tonight’s game is just the 49ers’ second in Minnesota since the 2012 season. The other one came on Sept. 9, 2018, when Kirk Cousins made his first start for the Vikings.
- The 49ers had a 15-game regular-season win streak snapped last week. They have lost back-to-back games only once in the past 34 games.
The San Francisco 49ers are looking to bounce back after their first setback of the season.
The 49ers finally were handed their first defeat last week with a 19-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Now, Kyle Shanahan and Co. are seeking to avoid their first multi-game skid since Weeks 6 and 7 of last season. While the 49ers have ruled out wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) and left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) is inactive, running back Christian McCaffrey (oblique) will play Monday. McCaffrey has scored a touchdown in 15 consecutive games in the regular season and playoffs, tied for the second longest streak in history (Lenny Moore, 17).
The Minnesota Vikings, meanwhile, will play host after winning just their second game of the season.
