Being self-employed was a lifestyle that was already on the rise in the United States of America, especially freelancers. But the global pandemic at the end of 2019 gave these new type of workers and business owners a boost they certainly didn’t expect. Today, there are many Americans who are currently self-employed but they don’t have the same rights an employee from a big company does. There is a program that all self-employed Americans can apply for and it will offer some kind of aid from the Government. It is called the Self-Employment Assistance Program (SEAP). This new program came right after the unemployment benefits ended for many Americans during the Labor Day weekend. In fact, this was part of three major programs that were initiated during Covid by the Federal Government in order to help those affected by the pandemic. One of these programs for unemployed people included a weekly boost of $300. But this program helps people who are either struggling or not to get a job but are also self-employed.
