Anna Sorokin, the con artist otherwise known as Anna Delvey, is continuing to make news years after the release of Netflix’s Inventing Anna. Now, Delvey is an artist, podcast host, Dancing with the Stars contestant, and singer—even as she remains under house arrest.
In an interview with WWD in June 2024, she said she was “trying to stay busy and productive.” Delvey added, “On a daily basis, I don’t do anything that is so exciting. It would be easier to create more content if I was able to leave the house. Nobody wants to see me sitting on the couch writing the book. It all depends when I will be free to do interesting things that people want to watch.” As of August 2024, Delvey is allowed to be back on social media, posting under @AnnaDelvey on Instagram. “I’m grateful and thrilled to be able to control my own narrative once again on social media,” she told the New York Post. Soon after, she joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars, where she was paired with Ezra Sosa. (Watch their first dance here.) Delvey was eliminated quickly, in week two.
Previously, Delvey told NBC News that she never wanted to be known as a scammer. “This is, like totally, has been pushed upon me like by the prosecution and by the following media and by the Netflix show, but I’m trying to move away from that definitely,” she said.
