The Buffalo Bills entered the 2025 NFL playoffs with high expectations. They got off to a good start in their quest to meet those, winning 31-7 over the Denver Broncos.
The Bills controlled the game against the Broncos for most of the afternoon. Josh Allen and James Cook both ran the ball well, and Buffalo’s defense held Denver’s offense scoreless after allowing Bo Nix to score on the opening drive.
Still, the Bills didn’t pull away until late in the third quarter, when Allen found Ty Johnson on fourth-and-1 for a 24-yard touchdown. That gave the Bills a two-touchdown lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
As a result, the Bills will head to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs for the fifth consecutive year under Allen and Sean McDermott. They are looking to reach the AFC championship game for the first time since the 2020 playoffs, which were played in the winter of 2021.
