As Team USA prepares for the third place game of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, so should you.
Team USA’s 12-player squad, which features NBA stars such as Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson and Austin Reaves, fell in the semifinals, 113-111, to Germany on Friday. Germany advances to play Serbia in the championship game while Team USA will play Canada for the bronze medal on Sunday (4:30 a.m. ET).
Following the unblemished run through Group C, Team USA had advanced to Group J, where they beat Montenegro, 85-73, before losing to Lithuania, 110-104. Steve Kerr’s squad bounced back in the quarterfinals with a 100-63 win over Italy to advance to the semifinals. Team USA had already guaranteed a berth in the 2024 Olympic Games by being one of the top two finishers from the Americas region in the 2023 FIBA Whorld Cup.

The tournament began Aug. 25. Sunday’s game between Team USA and Canada will air on ESPN2.
