Leeds eyeing Arana deal
Leeds United are reportedly plotting a move for Atlético Mineiro defender Guilherme Arana as they look to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.
That’s according to TNT Sports, who claim that the Whites have made a £19.7m bid for the 24-year-old following an impressive season at the Brazilian giants.
He chipped in with five goals and seven assists in 48 appearances and also played every minute of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games success, as Tite took a shine to him.
However, Atletico’s domestic campaign is now over which presents the Whites a decent chance to sign him in the winter market given that he won’t be playing much football.
Arana is predominately a left-back, but can also play in central defence and that would give Marcelo Bielsa an extra option as Leeds look to tackle their injury crisis.
Whites linked with Aaronson
Leeds United have been linked with a move for Red Bull Salzburg man Brenden Aaronson.
As per MLSsocccer.com, the Whites are targeting the USA midfielder as they look to bolster their squad following the injury to Kalvin Phillips.
The report does claim that a January transfer looks unlikely, however, considering that Salzburg are entering the knockout stages of the Champions League, while AC Milan and RB Leipzig have also showed their interest.
