Abu Agila Mohammad Mas‘ud, a Libyan bomb expert, has been taken into FBI custody. He has been handed over to the USA for further questioning in the case. The Libyan intelligence agent was accused of the 1988 bombing of an American aircraft over Lockerbie, Scotland. According to officials, this bombing was one of the biggest terrorist attacks in US history.

The count issued criminal charges against Mr. Mas‘ud for being responsible for creating the explosive device used in the bombing in 2020.
