Nobel Prize 2022 has been awarded to John F. Clauser of J.F. Clauser & Association, California, USA, Alain Aspect of Université Paris-Saclay and École Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France, and Anton Zeilinger of the University of Vienna, Austria for their work in
quantum information science.
Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger have each conducted groundbreaking experiments using entangled quantum states, where two particles behave like a single unit even when they are separated. Their results have cleared the way for new technology based on quantum information.

Who can win?
As per the will of Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite & founder of awards, the prize should go to the person “who has done the most or best to advance fellowship among nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and the establishment and promotion of peace congresses.”

He specified in his last will and testament that a significant portion of his wealth would be used to award people who had made outstanding contributions to literature, peace, physiology or medicine, physics, or chemistry for the benefit of humanity.
