The United States men will look to yet again defend their CONCACAF Nations League title as they contest the competition’s final four from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in the upcoming March international window.
Having lifted the first two editions of the competition, the U.S. will be strongly motivated to maintain its stranglehold over the North American international tournament.
The U.S. was drawn against Jamaica in the semifinals on March 21, with the final and third-place match to be contested three days later. The other semifinal features Mexico and Panama, so the losers of both semis will meet in the third-place game while the winners advance to the final.
Gregg Berhalter reiterated to both CBS Sports during the roster announcement and again to the media while speaking after the reveal that the full fitness of their top players and good form at the club level around the world made it a very tough process to select the players this window.
“This was probably the hardest roster we’ve ever had to pick,” Berhalter said, “based on the players who are in form, doing well with their clubs and performing at a high level.”
It will be the first time the USMNT’s first-choice squad convenes since topping Trinidad and Tobago in the quarterfinals of this event back in November.
