The Wilmette French Market is open for the season as of this morning (Saturday, April 16).
The Saturday-morning market is open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. through October just east of the Wilmette Metra station at 722 Green Bay Road.
Regular vendors of the market include: First Orchards, Jake’s Country Meats, Roedger Bros. Blueberries, Eclair Bakery & Patisserie, Treasure Breads and The Cheese People.
The Wilmette French Market is put on by Bensiduon USA.
Fans of the Winnetka and Glencoe markets will have to wait until June. The Winnetka Farmers Market, a product of the local chamber of commerce, will debut at 7:30 a.m. June 4 and stay open each Saturday for 22 weeks (through October) in the Winnetka Metra station parking lot, 754 Elm St.
The Glencoe Farmers Market opens Thursday, June 2, and will operate from 1-5 p.m. each Thursday through Sept. 29 on Wyman Green, 675 Village Green Court.

The New Trier Education Foundation has organized a series of events for its Day of Service Saturday, April 23. Cleanups are scheduled at the Skokie Lagoons from 9-11 a.m. and along the Green Bay Trail from 10 a.m.-noon.
