Since 1940, Crown Heights has grown into a hub of Jewish culture. Established as a core of kosher dining, Jewish art and more, the community now boasts its very own boutique showroom for decorative plumbing and hardware. Plumber’s Haven, located at 516 Empire Boulevard corner of Balfour Street, opened to the public in January of 2021.
Owner Michael Kops and his team of designers are proud to work alongside manufacturers who provide five-star customer service. Customer service is the core value at the shop, explains Kops. “If something goes wrong two years from now, people need to know where to turn,” he says.
Plumber’s Haven is a space for customers to receive guidance and support even years after purchasing a product.
Michael Kops and his business partner, Abraham Feltman, originally opened one of the first e-commerce stores featuring decorative plumbing and hardware in 2006. When the website amassed hordes of requests for assistance in setting up bathrooms and kitchens, the duo decided to open a showroom where they could educate customers.
In 2010, the first Plumber’s Haven showroom debuted in Flatbush. But as more lines were introduced, another expansion became necessary and Crown Heights seemed like the perfect location….
