NFL Probe Concludes Browns Were What We Thought They Were: A Bad Football Team That Couldn’t Win
Hue Jackson claimed the Cleveland Browns incentivized him to tank games when he was head coach. But when it came time to show up and back up those claims with the independent investigators hired by the NFL, Hue was a no-show — much like his offense during his time on the Browns sideline.
Jackson, who went 3-36-1 for the Browns before he was fired, agreed to speak with investigators, but ultimately did not.
The independent review, helmed by former U.S. Attorney and SEC Chair Mary Jo White, found no evidence the Browns purposely lost games. They were JUST THAT BAD.
