US Ski and Snowboarding is conducting an investigation after a former US Olympic snowboarder accused a Team USA coach and teammates of sexual misconduct and racism.
Callan Chythlook-Sifsof, an athlete on the 2010 winter Olympic team, made the allegations in a series of Instagram posts this week.
“I cannot watch another Olympic games without saying this publicly,” Chythlook-Sifsof wrote in an Instagram post that tagged coach Peter Foley, US Ski & Snowboard, and current Olympian Hagen Kearney.
“Peter Foley has taken naked photos of female athletes for over a decade,” Chythlook-Sifsof wrote.
“One of my first impressions of Head Coach Peter Foley at 17 was him whispering between my and a female teammate’s ear that he wanted to ‘put his tongue inside her p—-,’ pointing to a very young Argentinian girl,” she said.
“There are more serious actions that are not my story but should come to light,” she wrote.
Foley, who is also currently with Team USA in Beijing, told The Post Friday that he was “surprised by the allegations.”
“I vehemently deny the allegations,” he added. “I’m doing my best to concentrate on supporting the athletes at the Olympics.”
