Hillsdale — In partnership with USA Shooting, Hillsdale College hosted two Junior Olympic Development Camps at the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center.
Youths from across the country ages 12 to 20 registered to attend the three-day camps in June and receive coaching from some of the field’s leading experts.
“We are proud to have hosted these development camps at our facilities,” said Bart Spieth, rangemaster at the Halter Center. “It was great to watch such talented professionals teaching the younger generation their craft. Hillsdale College and USA Shooting are working together to grow the sport to new levels.”
USA Shooting’s Skeet Camp ran from June 13-17, and the Bunker Camp ran from June 20-24. Participants received instruction from both current and former USA Shooting Olympians and national team members. The all-inclusive camps included transportation, housing, meals, small-group coaching, clay targets and ammunition, and evening activities and presentations at Hillsdale College.
