A Florida State College of Law alum is tutoring reality star and beauty mogul Kim Kardashian West in her quest to pass the Bar exam.
West tagged Samuel Arlen Farkas in a tweet on May 29 seen by Kardashian’s 69.7 million followers, where she said, “studying with @SamuelAlren allllllll dayyyyyy.”
According to Farkas’ LinkedIn page, he calls Tallahassee home and is vice president of Instruction and Online Education for The BARBRI Group, a prestigious world leader in legal education, distance learning, training and certification.
The Tallahassee Democrat has reached out to Farkas for an interview.
Despite failing the First-Year Law Students’ Exam (aka the baby Bar) for a second time, Kim plans to continue her journey to become an attorney, according to a June 10 article in USA TODAY.
But first, the Bar exam.
On a late May episode of “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” the reality star revealed that Farkas, a friend and attorney, was helping her study for the upcoming baby Bar exam.
When West contracted the coronavirus along with her family, she continued to study with Farkas via video chats, even after production on the show shut down and she was forced to shoot footage herself, according to People magazine.
“We do need to breach the topic at some point,” Farkas tells Kim as she attempts to study from bed during the episode. “We don’t have to today, Kim, but you know what I’m going to say: you think we’re going to be able to make this work?”
