Winning the NFL’s prestigious most valuable player award would most likely be the highlight of anyone’s year, but not for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
During an Instagram Live with Zenith Watches Thursday, Rodgers said proposing to actress Shailene Woodley was “the best thing that’s happened to me in the last year.”
“I’m recently engaged, so been enjoying that part of my life,” Rodgers said to Zenith Watches CEO Julien Tornare after being named a brand ambassador in February.
Now that Rodgers has love and soon marriage, could a baby in a baby carriage be next? According to Rodgers, fatherhood is certainly in his future: “The next great challenge will be being a father.”

“I’ll look forward to taking care of another life at some point,” Rodgers said. “I think it’s gonna be so fun. I’ve dreamt about what that will be like, I’m really excited about that chapter whenever that comes.”
However, Rodgers said parenthood is “maybe not in the immediate future.”
Rodgers first announced he was engaged in February while accepting the 2020 NFL MVP award. Although he gave a special nod to his fiancee, he didn’t identify her.
