It’s been confirmed that the release of new Forza Horizon 4 content will wind down as the developer prepares for the launch of the series’ next game, Forza Horizon 5. Forza Horizon 4 was released in 2018 and has since seen several updates and additions to the core game, including a Forza LEGO expansion, as well as an Xbox Series X/S upgrade in 2020. The game offers seasonal content, with Season 37 beginning on June 29, adding new challenges and cars within an all-new playlist.
Forza Horizon 4 is often recognized as one of the best racing games of the last console generation, boasting an impressive score of 92 on Metacritic. The game offers an open world for gamers to explore either solo or with friends and features dynamic weather conditions. The next game in the series, Forza Horizon 5 is due to release later this year and is expected to improve on the already-stellar gameplay of its predecessor. While Forza Horizon 4 takes place in Britain, the next game will be set in Mexico, with what Xbox calls “ever-evolving open-world landscapes.” Following its reveal during the Xbox Showcase at E3 2021, Forza Horizon 5 was named “Most Anticipated Game” of the show.
