Country artist Granger Smith, who’s known for “If the Boot Fits,” and wife Amber revealed they’re expecting a new addition to the family in August: “A new Smith boy.”

Their pregnancy announcement comes almost two years after Granger and Amber Smith suffered a tragic loss when their 3-year-old son River Kelly died in a drowning accident.
Amber Smith shared the same video on her Instagram page, writing: “God has made a way we never thought possible. If I’ve learned anything over the last 2 years, it’s that I do not have as much control as I think I do.”
She said she never expected to be pregnant at 39, noting that though the last couple of years have been difficult, they’ve also been filled with “joy, hope, healing, growing and grace from God.” Amber Smith also shared a sweet message to her late son.
“Sweet Riv, because of the beautiful life you lived, we are forever changed and we will continue honoring your big, little legacy until we come home to you,” she wrote.
