They are the childhood Birmingham friends who went on to create a streetwear brand worn by some of the world’s biggest music stars and celebrities.
And now Dan Gardiner and Marcus Isaac, both aged 40, and Gary Thomson, 39, are looking to inspire the next generation of young people by revealing the secrets of their success in a new book.
The trio have been friends since primary school and grew up on Highgate and Balsall Heath estates.
In 2010 their love of fashion saw them create F2D Clothing and their designs went on to be worn by British stars such as Ed Sheeran, Dizzee Rascal, and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.
USA music celebs including Miley Cyrus, Soulja Boy, and rapper Ludacris also became fans of the brand.
Now the friends have penned a new book highlighting their self-taught business skills to help other young people in the city.
They plan to hold workshops across schools in the West Midlands to pass on their tips and have also partnered with Birmingham Central Library with the book called Entrepreneurship: A Young Persons Guide.
Dan said: “You see a lot of things growing up in a council estate in Birmingham. We’ve seen a lot of our friends achieve things but a lot going down the wrong path – but we’ve learned from those experiences.
