Part-time employees at Costco are entitled to full benefits starting the first day of the second month following 450 eligible paid hours, except for Hawaii, where part-time employees are eligible the first day of the month after four weeks of service, during which they worked a minimum of 20 hours per week. Employees that are not eligible for benefits include the following:

• Seasonal or utility employees, except in Hawaii
• Limited or temporary part-time employees, except in Hawaii
• Temporary employees or interns, also with the exception of Hawaii
• Employees participating in the Costco college student retention program

The Costco health plan includes vision, dental, medical, disability, life and accident insurance, among others. It also includes a prescription drug program.
