Rob Lowe has taken a swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, for inconveniencing his life and transforming his ‘sleepy town’ into an epicentre of attention.
The 57-year-old star is a resident in Montecito, a small hillside community near Santa Barbara and approximately 90 miles outside of Los Angeles in California.
The Brothers & Sisters star has been able to count 36-year-old Harry and 39-year-old Meghan as neighbours since they moved to California last year.
However, he says baggage has come with the royal couple which has left his neighbourhood unrecognisable, has forced property prices upwards, and caused a huge increase in the number of people in the area.
Speaking to E! News, Rob said: “They definitely have brought a lot of attention to my sleepy little town.
“Let me tell you something, once the royals move into your neighbourhood, the neighbourhood is never going to be the same.”
He added: “Now that the royals are here…the good news is property values go up, the bad news is the line is longer at Starbucks.”
The actor went on to distance himself from reports that he is a close friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – and rejected reports that the pair had filmed their controversial March 2021…
