Los Angeles County is being hit by the worst wildfires for years, with multiple blazes ravaging parts of the area in California in the USA.
At least five people have died and over 1000 homes have been lost.
The city is a major attraction for Aussies and is also a big hub for those heading to other parts of the USA.
Here’s what you need to know if you have a holiday planned.

Where are the LA fires?
There are three fire burning out of control, the Palisades Fire, Hurst Fire and Eaton Fire. They are destroying homes as they race across Los Angeles County and surrounding areas.
Aussies will likely recognise the a tourist hotspot of Santa Monica being mentioned. Home to the famous pier, shops and the Baywatch beach, some parts of the city have been evacuated due to the Palisades fire, which is also burning between there and celeb enclave, Malibu.
Currently the Santa Monica beach area is safe, as is neighbouring tourist hub Venice Beach.
But anyone travelling should keep an eye on alerts as the city has been warned by authorities “worse is yet to come.”
