U.S. men’s U-23s fail to qualify for Olympics with loss to Honduras
For fourth time in the last five Olympic cycles, the men’s U-23 team (Olympic soccer is a youth competition on the men’s side, so the senior national team is not involved) has failed to qualify for the Games following a 2-1 loss to Honduras. To put that in perspective, the last time the U.S. men did qualify for the Olympics in 2008, the first Iron Man movie was released, Taylor Swift dropped her second album and Michael Bradley still had hair. A lot has happened since then.
