With less than a week before Monday’s official announcement of the 2024 Heisman Trophy finalists, Vegas oddsmakers continue to reflect the betting trends that appears to heavily favor one candidate.
Two-way Colorado superstar Travis Hunter continues to be the overwhelming odds-on favorite to win this year’s Heisman Trophy, pulling ahead with -6000 odds, according to FanDuel’s latest Heisman odds.
That’s a significant increase from last week’s -800 odds for Hunter, creating a gigantic gap between himself and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, whose odds more than doubled from +650 to +1500 in the last week. Check out FanDuel’s full Heisman odds below:
As his famous head coach Deion Sanders made clear after Saturday’s 52-0 blowout of Oklahoma State, Hunter may have already “clinched the Heisman with this performance.” Hunter recorded both an interception and an offensive touchdown for the fourth time this season, becoming the first player in the past 25 seasons with at least two games of multiple scrimmage touchdowns and an interception, per ESPN.
With a season-high-tying three-touchdown effort against the Cowboys, Hunter set the Colorado single-season record with 14 receiving scores to go along with four interceptions this year. Hunter – also a finalist for the Maxwell, Bednarik and Biletnikoff award – is widely expected to become the Buffaloes’ second-ever Heisman Trophy winner, following in the footsteps of 1994 winner…
