The college football world was turned on its head in Week 6 when a number of top 15 teams were upset. Alabama, Tennessee, and Missouri went into the weekend inside the top 10 and were upset on the road. It really is tough to win on the road in the SEC.
At the end of the day, it sets up the potential for another classic showdown between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns. The Longhorns will enter the Cotton Bowl as the No. 1 team in the nation in both major polls. The Sooners moved up one spot in each, entering the game as the No. 16 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Currently, 14 of the 16 teams in the SEC have winning records, with just Mississippi State and Auburn looking like they’re going to struggle to get to .500. The top of the conference appears up for grabs at this point and the final two months of the season are going to be incredible theatre.
