Being a top lawyer was his childhood dream. “As a child, I would dress up as a lawyer for school fancy dress competitions,” says Manu.
Impact of family background
Born in a family of law practitioners, he was never short of well-informed suggestions. “Some of the students succumb to peer and societal pressure and opt for a career choice, which does not interest them. However, getting into a profession which you have dreamt of since childhood improves your chances of getting success,” says the law graduate from IP University, Delhi.
Manu was initially inclined towards criminal law, but learnt about sports and IPR laws expanding rapidly in India “I got to know that these two fields are growing in the country. In India, there are only a few institutions offering courses in this stream,” says Manu, who zeroed in on School of Law, University of Miami that offers LLM in Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law.
