It’s been nearly two decades since former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson last entered the ring for a bout but he’s coming out of retirement for a fight. The 57-year-old Tyson will enter the ring July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
Tyson last boxed professionally on June 6, 2005, against Kevin McBride. The referee ended that bout after the sixth round, handing McBride a corner retirement victory. Tyson’s last win in the ring came on Feb. 22, 2003, with a knockout victory over Clifford Etienne. Paul was six years old at the time.

Paul’s lone loss came by split decision to Tommy Fury on Feb. 26, 2023. Since then, he’s notched wins against longtime UFC fighter Nate Diaz and Andre August.
The fight will be streamed exclusively on Netflix in the platform’s first live combat sports show.
