The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) are set to visit Lucas Oil Stadium to face the Indianapolis Colts (7-6) in Week 15. Unfortunately, the Steelers will be missing quarterback Kenny Pickett, who is still in recovery after undergoing a high ankle surgery.
In his place, backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky will be starting for the second week in a row. In Trubisky’s first start for the Steelers in Week 14 against the New England Patriots, Trubisky completed 22 of 35 passes for 190 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception in the 21-18 loss to the Patriots.
The Colts are coming off a disappointing 34-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14. It’s been evident that the Colts have been struggling on offense without their star running back Johnathan Taylor, who is still recovering from thumb surgery. Taylor was given a two to three-game timeline for his recovery, but it’s uncertain whether he will be back in time for the game against the Steelers.
If he’s not, it will be the third consecutive game that Taylor has missed. Taylor has recorded 100 carries for 414 yards and four touchdowns for the season so far.
