We’re down to three.
Half of the teams that qualified for the FHSAA state playoffs are still alive heading into the regional semifinal round, and each will take on undefeated No. 1 seeds on the road.
The most competitive game on paper features two teams to fought for the District 1-2S title. Following a two-point loss during the regular season, No. 4 Pensacola Catholic looks for revenge in a matchup at No. 1 Walton in Region 1-2S.
Meanwhile, Escambia has the longest trip of all the local teams. The fifth-seeded Gators are on the east coast of the state to take on No. 1 St. Augustine in Region 1-3A. This is the third time these two teams have matched up in the postseason in the last six seasons.
Finally in Region 1-1R, No. 5 Northview looks to follow a convincing victory last week at rival Jay with an upset at No. 1 Bozeman.
