The FedEx Cup Playoffs get underway Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee, at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind. That means only the top 125 players from the PGA Tour regular season points race qualified and are shooting for the season-long prize, the FedEx Cup.
Only 121 players will tee it up and from there, only the top 70 in the standings advance to the BMW Championship at Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware.
From there, the top 30 move to the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, with the playoffs champion earning $18 million in bonus money.

Here’s a closer look at some names in the FedEx Cup points standings, including those who are on the bubble and others who need a big week to make the BMW Championship.
Trey Mullinax, as of now, is the last man who would make the BMW Championship, sitting at 70th in the standings at 589.859 points. Yet the distance between he and 71st place is less than four points. The winner of the 2022 Barbasol Championship, Mullinax has only one other top-10 finish on the season, but a made cut will go a long way to him playing another week.
