Monday Night Football will feature lots of orange on Halloween night as the Cincinnati Bengals (4-3) look to haunt their in-state and AFC North rival Cleveland Browns (2-5).
The Bengals may have tricked everyone into thinking they aren’t contenders after starting the season 0-2, but Cincinnati has since treated fans to four wins in its past five games, including a dominant 35-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons last week.
Bengals QB Joe Burrow was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after he completed 34-of-42 passes for 481 yards, three touchdowns and a rushing touchdown against the Falcons in Week 7. He became the third player in NFL history with at least 475 passing yards, three TD passes and one rushing TD in a game since Norm Van Brocklin in 1951 and Billy Volek in 2004.
WR Tyler Boyd had a career-high 155 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown just two minutes into the game. WR Ja’Marr Chase raked up 130 yards and two touchdowns, while WR Tee Higgins finished seven yards short of a 100-yard game.
The Bengals’ offense is rolling, but the same cannot be said about the Browns, who dropped their fourth consecutive game with Sunday’s 23-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
