It’s hard to believe that we are already nearing the end of January.
Even so, the year is still young, and with it comes plenty of new possibilities.
Buying a new home is one of them, with many Americans setting their eyes on Greenville for its low cost of living across the nation. A recent Opendoor report named the city among its new category of hidden gem neighborhoods that may be overlooked.
“These lists offer neighborhoods across different price points with something for everyone. Similar to the Top 20 list, these are neighborhoods that are fast-developing, with something more turnkey, and in a smaller community,” said Opendoor.
Here’s where Greenville placed in Opendoor’s top 10 hidden gem neighborhoods.
What methodology did Opendoor use to determine hidden gem neighborhoods?
To determine hidden gem neighborhoods, Opendoor examined the number of new markets in its buybox (in certain price bands). Then, it calculated the percentage increase in the number of new listings from January 2024 to November 2024 on a zip code level. To qualify for the list, zip codes needed at least five new listings in both months.
