In a preview for Infinite Frontier #6, Darkseid takes on Infinite Frontier‘s heroes, whilst the Flash is set on an inescapable path. Everything has been building up to this, Darkseid is finally revealed as the big bad pulling the Omniverse’s strings. Operating from the Omega planet, Darkseid’s plans for the new Omniverse are being set in motion, whilst DC’s heroes only just uncover what exactly he’s been up to. They will do all they can to try and stop him, but there’s a strong chance that they fail.
DC has teased that the Infinite Frontier miniseries is just “Act One” of their plans and that bigger things are coming, meaning that it’s likely Darkseid reigns on past the new miniseries’ final issue. The next phase of DC’s multiverse begins with how Infinite Frontier #6 ends, concluding the beginning of Joshua Williamson’s master plan for DC. Everyone will be affected by Darkseid’s actions, but the hero that is teased to be the most impacted, just like in Crisis on Infinite Earths, is Barry Allen.
