COLUMBIA, Mo. — Emma Crowe and Aubrey Schmitt recently competed at the University of Missouri-Columbia in the USA-Columbia Swim Club Invitational.
Crowe, 15, competed in the girls 15 and up division, collecting personal bests in the 400-meter individual medley (5:51.41) and the 200-meter IM (2:34.56). The rising sophomore from Lakeside cut 2.32 seconds off her 200-meter IM time and 0.88 seconds off her 400-meter.
Schmitt, 11, competed in the girls 11-12 division with personal bests in the 400-meter freestyle (5:29.02) and the 200-meter IM (2:53.03). The Lake Hamilton rising sixth grader cut 19.41 seconds off her 400-meter freestyle for third place in the event while dropping 1.27 seconds off her 200-meter IM time. She also finished second in the 50-meter butterfly (35.33 seconds) and third in the 100-meter butterfly (1:19.76).
Schmitt also competed in the 2021 AquaKids End of School Invitational at UALR last month, winning the 50-meter butterfly, finishing second in the 50-meter backstroke, 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly and third in the 200-meter IM. She also finished fourth in the 100-meter backstroke and 50-meter freestyle.
She set personal records in the 100-meter freestyle (1:17.46), 200-meter IM (2:54.30), 200-meter freestyle (2:31.00) and 100-meter freestyle (1:10.79).
