Michigan State failed their first tough test of the 2022 season with a disappointing loss at Washington on Saturday night.
The Spartans fell into a hole early and were never able to climb back out, falling to the Huskies, 39-28. The final score wasn’t as close as the game truly was with Michigan State scoring the final two touchdowns to make it a two-possession final score.
Former Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix Jr. shredded the Spartans secondary with 397 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday for the Huskies. The Huskies wracked up more than 500 total yards in the victory.
